Nic is the VP of Research, Evaluation & Strategic Partnerships at Forward Cities. He coordinates and collaborates with national and local research partners on mapping local innovation landscapes in Accelerator cities. With experience in evaluation at the UN and in the nonprofit field, he helps to design Forward Cities’ methodology of tracking progress towards target outcomes.
Prior to coming to Durham, Nic was the lead researcher at the Boston University Initiative on Cities, an urban leadership institute. He is co-author of the report “Cities Joining Ranks”, which for the first time systematically reviews city policy networks in the US. He holds an MPA degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science as well as an MPP degree from the Hertie School of Governance in Germany.
