Brett Brenton splits his time overseeing North Carolina-based efforts at accelerating the creation and implementation of inclusive innovation districts as well as working with various communities nationwide on groundwork initiatives to help judge their readiness to activate inclusive growth efforts. Brett serves as a key partner to each stakeholder in these spheres, helping to familiarize them with a variety of resources to help them meet their goals.
Brett spent thirteen years in public education before starting a diversity-focused, STEM-themed career development non-profit for the Research Triangle Foundation. This led to other opportunities in program design and implementation, stakeholder engagement, and small business tenant recruitment for the Foundation. Brett is driven by work that helps present opportunity to segments of the population that face challenges to full and equitable access.
